The Automated Batch Retort AGV type (Automated Guided Vehicle) is a special vehicle designed to transfer pallets of materials between other types of automated machinery. This vehicle has stainless steel components, a variable speed powered conveyor deck and is capable of being in contact with water, hot water and steam. Standard loads are up to 4,000 lb (1,800 kg).
